"Dr. Shah is Brilliant and I Love my Results - I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Shah! I had a large hump in my hose that had bothered me for over 30 years. I thought about it every single day, every time I caught my reflection, every time someone took a picture. I hated having my profile visible and constantly had my hair in my face to try to hide it. I was really nervous to have my nose done because I didn't want it to look overdone, too small, or like it didn't fit my face. Dr. Shah did an incredible job of listening to exactly what I wanted, and making my nose fit my face so well that my closest friends were blown away by how natural it looks. I feel so confident and happy!I got the Ultrasonic Piezo Rhinoplasty, which is a gentler, more refined method. I had minimal swelling and in just seven days from my surgery I was out and about excited to put my new face into the world. Dr. Shah and his staff are wonderful - professional, warm, knowledgable, responsive. Literally my only regret about this procedure was not doing it sooner. "My Nose Journey ❤️ I had a accident when I was young that resulted in many surgeries over the years. The rhinoplasty I had gotten started leaning to the right and overtime created breathing problem. I found Dr. Shah on a search for a nose correction specialist and hose him because the overwhelming good reviews and his experience! Immediately I noticed my breathing issues were fixed. I was so relieved because this complicated my sleeping, I could not exercise, I always had a headache. Being able to breathe through my nose again is something I will never take for granted and I am so grateful to Dr. Shah for fixing my collapsed septum. Aesthetically, I cried tears of joy when I was healing. Before, my nose was crooked and almost detached I could feel the tip cartilage pop in and out of place! I had no expectations that I would have such a straight nose and kinda expected a small improvement. Dr. Shah not only got my nose and septum so straight but he also fixed my nose to look more natural and smaller to fit my face. This is the most beautiful I have ever felt. "My nose is no longer upturned - 20+ years ago, I injured my nose in a car accident. Three previous attempts to restore the shape, and function of my nose left me with a "piggy" nose that was a constant source of emotional pain and embarrassment. "He greatly improved the asymmetry and made the size fit my face - Back in my twenties, my nose was broken and I had a Rhinoplasty. The asymmetry in the tip and general size were not addressed at that time. I also had chronic sinus issues from a deviated septum. Fast forward almost 20 years, and A LOT of research, I decided to go with Dr. Shah. He specializes in challenging cases like mine. Not only, was he, and all his staff kind and professional throughout the process, he is a true artist. He greatly improved the asymmetry, and made the size fit my face. My husband says it is the “movie star version” of my old nose, and I couldn’t agree more. My breathing has also already improved! "Too Soon for a Facelift but I Needed a Lift… - I got DPO Threads done by Sarah several days ago and I couldn’t be happier. I burn through filler quickly and I believe I found a solution with threads. Considering how much money I was spending on filler it balances out. I really enjoyed my time with Sarah. She is skilled, makes sure you are comfortable, and just a fun person to talk to. I received a dental block and I didn’t feel any pain. The swelling where the needles were inserted were gone within an hour and I even stopped at a store on my drive home. I had slight bruising on day 2 that I could hide with makeup. My face is a little tender but it’s not like recovering from a surgery. Jowls were forming and now a I have a smooth jawline again. I am so happy with this procedure and what’s exciting is it will get better as time passes and more collagen builds from the threads. "I cannot express how much Dr Shah's experience has meant to me. I inquired about a rhinoplasty surgery and has contemplated it for quite some time. I had heard and saw first hand Dr. Shah's work from a close friend and loved it! I set up my consult through Joel (who is so helpful with the process and noting everything I was wanting) . Dr Shah went through every step, including what exactly happened during the surgical procedure (for those who are interested he has videos of the surgeries on his Instagram account) so that I would fully prepared for everything. Not only was he in depth, but he was willing to answer every question. I was apprehensive when it came to the image itself - I wasn't sure if it grasped what I wanted. We emailed back and fourth and he calmed my nerves explaining that my goals were able to be achieved and that I had nothing to worry about. I think my biggest apprehension was that it was just new - smaller and more symmetrical. It has nothing to do with his actual rendering, I was just not used to how my face would look. Leading up to the surgery, Dr. Shah and his team really took their time to go over exactly what to expect and projected timeline on healing. Brenda makes sure you are ready to go for the surgery with information and medications to go home. The morning of, we got up nice and early and were greeted by the amazing surgical staff. I will say the procedure went very smoothly and my nurses were so sweet. The anesthesiologist Lee is also wonderful calling the night before to go over everything! I was a little tired after waking up and had some intense bruising. After care is so important (as was before the surgery). I followed my instructions to a T. Adding more protein, taking all my medications and most importantly RESTING! Ice packs were my best friend in between my naps. After just seven days my sutures and splints all came off (it was a little uncomfortable but not bad) and the results made me immediately cry. This was MY nose, but it was perfect! I previously had large nostrils and a downward facing deviated septum, but not anymore! I have exactly what I've always wanted and I feel it has made my face seem more symmetrical. I couldn't be happier. Once everything was off, Dr. Shah showed me all the taping and compression techniques which I have loved. I went home that day and switched to some heat packs and saline solution (no blowing the nose yet!). These techniques have been amazing (especially the compressions and taping, helps the swelling SO much) and as of today, my nose is further in the healing process than we had anticipated! I really owe that to my routine and medications - they work amazing. I have never felt so comfortable with a medical team. Each and every member will make you feel welcomed and heard. Thank you all but especially Dr. Shah for being so supportive and talented. I will be forever grateful for you!"
"Life changing! I can breathe so much easier! - Dr. Shah gave me a septoplasty to repair my deviated septum. Before the surgery I could barely ever breathe out of my right nostril and both nostrils were frequently completely blocked, especially if I was eating hot food. This surgery changed my life! I can breath so much easier! It has completely changed how I get to experience eating. My only regret is that I waited so long to get this procedure."
"Dr. Shah made me feel comfortable every time I saw him - I had a revision rhinoplasty by Dr. Shah and I couldn't be happier. I had a rhinoplasty in 2005 that I was never really happy with. As I reached my mid-40's my nose started to get lumpy and you could actually see and feel the bumps on the bridge of my nose. I wanted to get a revision but didn't have the time to focus on it, until COVID. I live in a mid-sized city (Colorado Springs, CO) and I believe I went to every plastic surgeon in CS and I could see doctors faces become uncomfortable when I would go in for a consult for a revision. Most of them just made me uncomfortable with how defensive they would become. I found Dr. Shah through research on the internet and went in for my consult. Within 30 seconds of looking at my nose he said "I know how to fix this" and boy did he ever. I didn't want a drastic change and he gave me that as well. Dr. Shah has a system for minimal bruising that works magic and I had very little bruising after my surgery. Dr. Shah is professional and made me feel comfortable every time I saw him. The staff (especially Brenda) is amazing too. I like them all so much I am going back in several months for a neck lift and and chin implant. I will get pictures posted eventually but if you are considering a rhinoplasty revision - Dr. Shah is AMAZING and you will not be disappointed."

"All I wanted is a natural looking nose, he exceeded expectations - Not only that I had a crooked/deformed nose but I had such trouble breathing which was getting worse with time. I went through hundreds of surgeons and neither one of them convinced me that they could make a difference. All I wanted is a natural looking nose. A few of the doctors even said that they don’t want to perform the surgery.I don’t know how the doctor did it, but he did. He even filled some of the gaps with my own tissue from behind the ear. And I won’t even start with the recovery. We took everything off after 6 days and there was zero bruising. The doctor has this rapid recovery protocol and they sent me a package with vitamins and substances a few weeks before to start prepping for the recovery. Then this angel came, a nurse that they recommended to spend the night with me (Danielle), that made the whole experience 10 times better. Not only that she took good care of me but we became more like friends. I’m sure that not everyone is always happy with their surgery experience, but seeing what the doctor did... If anyone was unhappy here, I suspect it’s because of unrealistic expectations. I examined my nose so many times, left and right, up and down and I even thought that it might not be possible to make a difference like this. Pics attached"

"Had 2 Surgeries, Nose Still Crooked - Overall it seems that people have good experiences with Dr. Shah so mine may be the outlier, but I am not really happy with my results and the process. I had Rhinoplasty done nearly 3 years ago now, that was also an osteotomy. The first issue was a mismatch of expectations. I realize everybody heals differently but I was told that I wouldn't bruise badly due to my skin type and being male. After the first surgery I had black eyes for 3 months. After waiting for a long period of healing 1+ year, I still had a large dorsal hump, and my nose turns to the left, something that wasn't there pre-surgery. After a year, Dr. Shah was nice enough to do a free revision in his office (minus the cost of surgery supplies). We had agreed to fix the dorsal hump, straighten out the nose and take down the tip a little. After this revision the dorsal hump part was fixed but the nose was still crooked and the tip wasn't taken down. We also used part of my ear to graft a piece of cartilage. I was told the scar wouldn't be noticeable, but its very noticeable 1.5 years later and people have asked me about it. After 6 months I went back and we talked about how the tip still wasn't straight. He recommended I try bend my nose with a popsicle stick daily and said we'd have to wait 1 to 1.5 years after the revision to consider another revision. I did all the exercises and then coronavirus hit so I just waited until it had been 1.5 years post surgery and still my nose was crooked. At this additional 1.5 year follow-up visit, he recommended I tape my nose to my cheek every night to help bend it and said he didn't think surgery was a good at this point and to re-evaluate in another 6 months. At this point 3 years in, i'm not really willing to wait another 6 months, nor do I think taping my nose to my cheek while I sleep is going to be sufficient. This may help to some degree, and I'm not a surgeon obviously, but I feel like 2 surgeries should have created a straight nose, a problem that didn't exist before the first surgery. Overall I really want to like Dr. Shah and people have good experiences with him. But after thousands of dollars, 3 years, and a crooked nose the results are the results. I will be setting up a consultation with another doctor in Denver to get a second opinion on a tip-plasty revision"

"I came to Dr. Shah the fall of 2019 seeking a revision rhinoplasty. Let me provide a backstory to my experience. Approximately 13 years ago, I received my initial rhinoplasty from a well-known and supposedly "top tier" plastic surgeon in Denver. After the initial surgery and several follow-up "corrections," this surgeon left my nose not only completely disfigured and disproportionate for my face, but also did not correctly support the tip, and so I was left with what was essentially lopsided scar tissue on top of a droopy columella. "Well over Due! - The best part is the exceptional care and compassion of Dr. Shah and his entire staff. Throughout the years of going to Dr. Shah, I have yet to see exaggerated results that are unnatural. That is why I trusted him with the mini face lift. After have injections for years, my age caught up and the only option for the jowls on caving cheeks, disappearing upper lip and turkey neck was a mini lift with fat injection. "Exactly What I Wanted - I've never disliked my nose but I felt like it could use some refinement. After doing some online research it seemed apparent to me that Dr. Shah was the best Rhinoplasty surgeon in Denver. I booked a consultation and brought a huge list of questions with me. He answered all of my questions very thoroughly, asked me exactly what I was looking for and then told me what his game plan would be. I wanted a slight ski slope nose from the side ( I had a small hump) and for the tip to be refined. I booked the surgery a few months later. The day of the surgery was pretty laid back and easy. The nurses were super nice and they made sure I was comfortable. The anesthesiologist was also really nice and took his time going through every detail to make sure I was safe before I went into the operating room. I went out like a light bulb and the next thing I knew I was waking up and ready to go home. I didn't feel woozy or out of it and I wasn't in any pain. I went home and ate dinner, watched a movie and went to bed. I didn't experience any difficulty sleeping until my Ambien ran out. Sleeping upright, on my back was difficult. Having both nostrils plugged was also hard, even with 2 humidifiers going in my room at all time my mouth was still so dry. The swelling was the worst on day 2 and 3, from there the swelling moved down my cheeks. After one week Dr. Shah took my splint off and cleared my nostrils and it was such a relief to breathe. I have to admit that I thought my nose looked really freaky for the first 3 weeks. I called the office freaking out a little and he immediately got on the phone to reassure me and reminded me that I should be avoiding salt and sleeping propped up on a pillow at night. I had been slacking with both. The swelling distorts everything so much, you just have to remember to be patient. I must had looked at my nose in the mirror for hours each day to the point that my brain wasn't even sure what a nose was supposed to look like. Just trust you doctor and avoid the mirror for a while. My bruising lasted for 1 month and I had a hemosiderin stain on one eye for about 5 months. I used Auriderm and had IPL facials to speed up the healing of the stain. The scar from the incision faded away in about 4 months, it was easy to cover with makeup within a couple of weeks. Overall, I'm surprised at how pain free the whole ordeal was. I only took my pain medication the first 2 days and then I realized I didn't need it. I was very careful while recovering and never bumped my nose or had any accidents. I taped my nose at night for the first 2 months. It's now been 6 months and the tip is still slightly swollen, but not noticeably. I know over the next 6 months my nose will shrink a tiny bit more. I am absolutely THRILLED with the results. My nose still looks like my nose, just smaller and cuter. The little swoop makes my side profile look fabulous. My biggest worry was that my mom would notice and disapprove, she never noticed I had anything done. I've only had one person ask me flat out if I had a nose job, and she wanted me to dish who my surgeon was because she thought he did a great job and was considering getting some work done herself. It's nice not having to contour my nose anymore and I feel like I look cute at any angle in any photo now. Initially I asked Dr. Shah not to post any photos of me, but he did such an amazing job I thought I should post some photos anyway. I must spent 15 hours total on realself studying reviews and I don't know what I would have done without it so I feel like I owe this review to the community! "I went to MANY surgeons for rhino/septoplasty consults before finding Dr. Shah. The second I met him I knew he was the surgeon I wanted to perform the rhinoplasty. He is compassionate and thoughtful in his approach and explains the procedure very thoroughly. He wants the patient to be educated in his reasoning for what he does and make sure everyone is on the same page. I’m going to have a closed rhinoplasty that will get ride of the dorsal hump I have. He also explained that in removing that the side of my nose will be pushed in so that it isn’t as wide anymore. During our consultation he listened to what I had wanted which was to remove the dorsal hump and slim the middle and showed me what he can do for me.Updated on 11 Aug 2019:So the first few days after surgery there wasn’t really pain for me at all except for headaches that would come and go. I did bruise/swell around my eyes. Around day 5&6 my swelling had moved to my cheeks and the bruising around my eyes were almost gone. Getting my splint removed a big relief even though my nose was still swollen Dr. Shah did an amazing job. The only dislikes for me so far are that my eyes are a bit sunken in from lack of sleep. Other than that recovery has been great I have not run into any concerns so far and I couldn’t thank Dr. Shah enough. Updated on 3 Nov 2019:Soooo already three months in! I’m super happy with my results. My face is all back to normal with no swelling or discoloration and still have not run into any complications. "I've never disliked my nose but I felt like it could use some refinement. After doing some online research it seemed apparent to me that Dr. Shah was the best Rhinoplasty surgeon in Denver. I booked a consultation and brought a huge list of questions with me. He answered all of my questions very thoroughly, asked me exactly what I was looking for and then told me what his game plan would be. I wanted a slight ski slope nose from the side ( I had a small hump) and for the tip to be refined. I booked the surgery a few months later. The day of the surgery was pretty laid back and easy. The nurses were super nice and they made sure I was comfortable. The anesthesiologist was also really nice and took his time going through every detail to make sure I was safe before I went into the operating room. I went out like a light bulb and the next thing I knew I was waking up and ready to go home. I didn't feel woozy or out of it and I wasn't in any pain. I went home and ate dinner, watched a movie and went to bed. I didn't experience any difficulty sleeping until my Ambien ran out. Sleeping upright, on my back was difficult. Having both nostrils plugged was also hard, even with 2 humidifiers going in my room at all time my mouth was still so dry. The swelling was the worst on day 2 and 3, from there the swelling moved down my cheeks. After one week Dr. Shah took my splint off and cleared my nostrils and it was such a relief to breathe. I have to admit that I thought my nose looked really freaky for the first 3 weeks. I called the office freaking out a little and he immediately got on the phone to reassure me and reminded me that I should be avoiding salt and sleeping propped up on a pillow at night. I had been slacking with both. The swelling distorts everything so much, you just have to remember to be patient. I must had looked at my nose in the mirror for hours each day to the point that my brain wasn't even sure what a nose was supposed to look like. Just trust you doctor and avoid the mirror for a while. My bruising lasted for 1 month and I had a hemosiderin stain on one eye for about 5 months. I used Auriderm and had IPL facials to speed up the healing of the stain. The scar from the incision faded away in about 4 months, it was easy to cover with makeup within a couple of weeks. Overall, I'm surprised at how pain free the whole ordeal was. I only took my pain medication the first 2 days and then I realized I didn't need it. I was very careful while recovering and never bumped my nose or had any accidents. I taped my nose at night for the first 2 months. It's now been 6 months and the tip is still slightly swollen, but not noticeably. I know over the next 6 months my nose will shrink a tiny bit more. I am absolutely THRILLED with the results. My nose still looks like my nose, just smaller and cuter. The little swoop makes my side profile look fabulous. My biggest worry was that my mom would notice and disapprove, she never noticed I had anything done. I've only had one person ask me flat out if I had a nose job, and she wanted me to dish who my surgeon was because she thought he did a great job and was considering getting some work done herself. It's nice not having to contour my nose anymore and I feel like I look cute at any angle in any photo now. Initially I asked Dr. Shah not to post any photos of me, but he did such an amazing job I thought I should post some photos anyway. I must spent 15 hours total on realself studying reviews and I don't know what I would have done without it so I feel like I owe this review to the community! So I decided to finally do something about it. I booked an appointment (about a month out as he's busy) and went to see the doc. He looked at my nose and didn't make me feel bad about wanting it to look better. He's extremely intelligent, really knows his stuff, and will readily tell you in detail about anything you ask about. I love that about him :) He gave me some after images of what he thought would work best, and I almost cried. I mean, I was imagining how I'll feel when I'm walking past people and how I'll not be embarrassed by my profile (hide behind my hair, turn my head to the side). I was imagining being able to have a short haircut and not have that insecure feeling in the back of my mind. I know, it sounds really silly but I'm sure if you're reading this you understand. I'll never have that perfect movie star profile, but it'll be perfect for me! So my surgery is Friday. I've already started taking the pre-op vitamins and arnica etc. and bought food for a week so hopefully I won't have to go out and scare little kids with my bandages and bruises. I had gone to see different surgeons over the past 20 years but never felt that those doctors understood what I wanted. My nose was very large with a drooping columella. The first thing I noticed when I arrived at his office was how friendly the staff was. Then I met Dr. Shah and immediately felt comfortable and in good hands. He explained the procedure in great detail using visual aids. He then took pictures and uploaded them to his computer and described how he planned to fix my nose and explained why each step in the procedure was needed. The best part was that he said my new nose would still look like me, just better, which is exactly what I wanted. Additionally, he explained the recovery process in detail as well. His assistant took care of paperwork and scheduling, so a very easy process. The cost was surprisingly affordable too, much less than what I thought it would be. I next met Dr. Shah in early September for the pre-op appointment (~1 month before procedure) and he and his assistant made sure that I knew what I needed to do to prepare for the procedure (follow nutrition and vitamin protocols). One month later I had the operation. It went smoothly with no issues. I was released after 30 minutes in the recovery room. I met with Dr. Shaw again about 3 days after the procedure to make sure no issues were cropping up. He told me things looked good so far. I meet him again 1 week after surgery. He removed the bandages, splints and taught me how to use the forming sticks and to stick to his recovery protocols. My nose was very swollen, especially the left side as he had to widen the airway. I was pretty miserable, to be honest. One month later I revisited with Dr. Shah and it wasn't great. My nose was not healing as fast as it should have and I was still super swollen and in pain. Dr. Shah was very kind, explaining that I had a complicated restructuring done to my nose and that the healing process was different for everyone. He told me to keep doing his recovery protocol and to up my calcium and vitamin C intake. Finally, at about 6 weeks, my swollen nose had substantially decreased in size and there was minimal pain. I could actually see my new nose and it looked 1000x better than my original!! My profile is straight, the tip is much less bulbous and no drooping columella in sight! "Amazing Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty Experience - I visited with Dr. Shah back in May for a consultation on rhinoplasty. This is something I've looked into for years and finally discovered a fantastic surgeon one state over from me. Upon meeting with Dr. Shah, I knew he would be the perfect surgeon to work on me. He has such an upbeat attitude and he's incredibly informative, so I booked an appointment with him for December when I would be on break from school.Fast forward to now, I had my surgery at the Renewal Center in Lone Tree, CO with Dr. Shah on the 23rd of December and let me tell you it went swimmingly. At my pre-op appointment just two weeks prior, he provided me with numerous supplements to help with the healing process, detailed instructions, medication for after, and answered more of my questions. On the day of my surgery, he again answered more of my questions and was very thorough about what he would be doing in surgery. His entire team that he worked with that day were also just as amazing. The surgery went quickly and exceedingly well. I return to Dr. Shah's office next week to remove the splints in my nostrils, the sutures, and splint over my nose. Currently, I have such minimal bruising I think in part due to some of the supplements he had me taking leading up to the surgery and now. He did have to preform an osteotomy on me, remove part of my septum to straighten it out, and configure the cartilage in my bulbous tip. I'm just in complete awe with how quickly the surgery went and how great I am feeling now. I know, too, that I may contact him with any questions or needs up until I see him next. "Dr. Shah is a physician artist - I live in northern Colorado and have been to a couple of plastic surgeons in my area. My first ps did my first BA in 1999 and the second BA for replacements 17 years later. I was never completely happy with either procedure/result.My second ps does my coolsculpt and botox, both very minor procedures. When I asked him about a lower facelift he said "too early for you, wait about 10 years" so I took my saggy jawline and baby jowls and got a second opinion from Dr. Shah after researching on Realself. So glad I did! Dr. Shah agreed with the other doc that my situation was not dire enough for a lower facelift but recommended lipo of the jawline and microneedling for mild wrinkles. "I'm 3 months post tip rhinoplasty and very pleased with my results! Dr. Shah explained the procedure and costs in full detail, and answered my repetitive questions leading up to the surgery. My surgery was performed in office under local anesthesia as I requested. It was completely painless and quick. I was given a blanket to keep warm and my option of music, which I preferred to be turned down low. That morning I had a severe allergy flare up from hay fever which caused me to sneeze uncontrollably DURING my surgery. After results that I wasn't pleased with (and being told that it was just "shading" and that I should just push on the bones to make them go where I wanted them to go), I had an accident that left my nose broken. I desperately tried to work with Dr. Shah to figure out how to get it fixed, and his office continually gave me the run-around and cancel appointments with me until I ran out of time to have it fixed (the nose starts healing into the new position after about a week) and went through my insurance instead. Any reviews I've posted explaining my experience, Dr. Shah is extremely defensive and borderline offensive towards me. He has such an upbeat attitude and he's incredibly informative, so I booked an appointment with him for December when I would be on break from school.Fast forward to now, I had my surgery at the Renewal Center in Lone Tree, CO with Dr. Shah on the 23rd of December and let me tell you it went swimmingly. At my pre-op appointment just two weeks prior, he provided me with numerous supplements to help with the healing process, detailed instructions, medication for after, and answered more of my questions. On the day of my surgery, he again answered more of my questions and was very thorough about what he would be doing in surgery. His entire team that he worked with that day were also just as amazing. The surgery went quickly and exceedingly well. I return to Dr. Shah's office next week to remove the splints in my nostrils, the sutures, and splint over my nose. Currently, I have such minimal bruising I think in part due to some of the supplements he had me taking leading up to the surgery and now. He did have to preform an osteotomy on me, remove part of my septum to straighten it out, and configure the cartilage in my bulbous tip. I'm just in complete awe with how quickly the surgery went and how great I am feeling now. I know, too, that I may contact him with any questions or needs up until I see him next. All in all I am ecstatic to see what magic he's worked on my nose once I get the splints removed and in the coming months! I'll be happy to post numerous photos of the healing process as well. I visited with Dr. Shah back in May for a consultation on rhinoplasty. This is something I've looked into for years and finally discovered a fantastic surgeon one state over from me. I hope you enjoy these, the pumpkin bread is my new weakness. The chocolate chip cookies are only like 100 calories so enjoy them guilt free (I don't know how they do it, they're pretty amazing)... and who doesn't love truffles? I thought about throwing in some of my Lenny and Larry high protein cookies but they're pretty terrible. Dr. Shah will be happy to know I choked them down post-op.
I'm not the best a creating gift baskets. My friend, Charity, is much better. I loved the polka dots but as I lack balance in most things it might appear that some polka dots threw up all over your treats... either way I tried.

There was only point at the end when some of the anesthesia wore off and I could feel some stitches. "Need to Breath and Fixed my Croocked Nose. Denver, CO - Making the decision to go through with fixing my crooked nose was both a simple and difficult decision. Simple, because I wanted to breathe again and have a beautiful nose to look at. Difficult, because I had no clue regarding who I was going to chose to perform such an important surgery. It's my face, so the decision making process was quite lengthy. I did my homework on the surgeons in my area and extended it to include all of Colorado. I not only read online reviews but also went to meet several surgeons in order to see if my desires for my new nose were possible. I finally found Dr. Manish Shah. Brenda and the rest of Dr. Shah’s staff were very accommodating and reassuring when it came to the million questions I had. During my initial consultation, I was shown what Dr. Shah would do to correct my nose with a computerized animation that was instrumental in setting expectations. This was extremely helpful since I'm more of a visual person. In addition to the obvious fear about the outcome, I was terrified regarding the pain associated with the surgery and specter of looking like a MMA fighter right before Christmas. However, in following Dr. Shah's strict before and after surgery care; I was pleasantly surprised to find I had minimal bruising and swelling. Not only was the pain much less than what I expected, but the recovery time was much faster. I had seen Dr. Shah back in July for a consultation regarding my deviated septum, he was warm, personable, extremely intelligent and very informative. Unfortunately, due to insurance denying the functional portion of my surgery the DAY BEFORE my scheduled surgery day I was unable to go forward with this doctor, needles to say I was completely devastated. "So I wanted to do something spectacular for myself. Yes, something that was really amazingly and wonderful just for me. So I decided to have my face look better, and I would find somebody who would do just that. Long bouts of illness, accompanied by numerous struggles had left the story written on my face. There were, of course, the normal signs of aging since I am pushing sixty, but more than anything I wanted to feel better about my appearance. I was determined the challenges and illness I"d experienced wasn't going to ravage my face anymore. I was taking back the ground I had lost to it. I had taken a year to decide to do this. It was a mammoth decision for me. I decided to go for it. So I had to pick somebody that I trusted to cut on my face. That sounded like a daunting task. I wanted somebody who could perform surgery on the Queen, possibly won a Nobel Peace Prize, and got the title of ??Most Congeniality??? in high school---or at least the equivalent there of. High standards? Well I was going to let this person rearrange my face so yes, I wanted the best. I interviewed several doctors. The first one was skilled. Check. He had excellent credentials. Check. However he made no eye contact with me, and was so clinical that I doubted he remembered my name by the end of our time. I'd prefer the person who chops around on me to know my name I concluded. Line through that name. The next doctor yielded good reports about her skills as a Face Arranger. Check. But a line went through that name when I had to pay an astronomical amount just to have a consultation with her. I was bit disgruntled. The assistants gave me many other non-surgical options, which I wasn???t interested in, as I stated many times. I felt if I was being screened to see how serious I was about doing the most expensive procedure. THEN I could have a costly consult with her. Ummm, not really impressive. One doctor had great reviews and testimonies, but talked down to her staff and treated them poorly. Nope, not that one. I wanted a doc with confidence, but displayed respect for others--- and wasn???t a jerk. After searching for a long time I went to Dr. Shaw. He was attentive to me, which seems to be a feature one wants in a doctor who would change your face. He took as much time as I needed to answer all my questions. (It was not surprising I had many.) His credentials were extraordinary, and his background was such that I knew he had to make my short list. . He was nice. I want a ??nice??? person. Yes that was on my checklist for sure. His vast experience gives him the knowledge to do things in a way that other doctors do not. His staff is quite pleasant as well. I hired him before I left his office. Relief rolled over me, as I knew he was the one that was right for me. There wasn???t a doubt that crept into my mind as I made the necessary preparations for the procedure. Yes-sir-re I was courageous and strong all right. Yep that was me! That was of course until the actual day arrived and I found myself surrounded by lots of people in white coats. They were asking lots of questions, sticking me with an I.V.??? and scurried around like Santa???s busy elves. Oh my! bWonder if this is the right thing to do? I wonder if I???m going to have a displaced face and only find employment at old timy circus freak shows? Wonder if he is really a mad scientist that is experimenting on unknowing subjects? Wonder if he hates his job but in it just for the money? After all, he has that perfect Indian skin and I have blue jeans older than he looks. What does he care? Ugh! I am going to rip off my attractive, tied in the back, fashionable hospital attire. I would tell them I just remembered an important meeting I must attend noe with the FBI, the governor, or maybe the space program peopllr Then Dr. Shaw came bounding in with a bounce in his step that slightly resembled ??Tigger???. His excitement was displayed in his smile that lit up like a kid at Christmas! You could see he was quite delighted to be doing this, and he seemed quite jolly. I remembered the reasons I liked him in the first place...right before they tell you to do the proverbial countdown from 100--99, and by then I was completely out. The FBI will have to wait. During post surgery he remained available to me at all time. I didn???t know what my face looked like since swathed with bandages and draped in gauze. It felt like I had a nose and eyes but lacked a face. His vast experience was exemplified when he told me exactly what would occur next. When the ??freak show employment question arose again, my husband called Dr. Shaw's cell phone that he graciously provided for us. I was reassured wouldn???t remain clad in bandages and I could indeed be employed in another field. Any question or concerns was answered expeditiously. He really did care. My face seemed to get better and better every day. In fact, when I was conformable in going out afterwards, I started receiving compliments on how nice I looked. The good Dr. had told me that people would do that very thing. Although they couldn???t put their finger on what was so different, they would indeed respond the he way he predicted. When he originally told me this would occur I responded ??Sure Dr. Shaw...that???s nice...(yeah right I thought, with placating thoughts galloping through my mind). I But that is EXACTLY what happened ---and it happened frequently! I was getting compliments from the most unlikely people. Ok so he was right. But I may not even tell him he was right. I enjoyed my placating thoughts. Since then my face has continued to get better and better as new collagen grows, and all the other things occur that is supposed to happen after such a procedure. I continue to get compliments on how good I look, and I still have time in which it will continue to improve. Would I recommend him? That is like asking if Gundi is a peaceful person. Assuredly I would tell anyone who wants to improve his or her look, feel more confident, and wants the best doctor to make that happen, then visit Dr. Shaw. Nobel peace prize??? Well maybe not, but certainly he is by far of the very best plastic surgeon you can find. "Dr Shah is the best. I would highly recommend him. I had rhinoplasty over a year ago. After other consultations where they told me to "pick a nose I like" I was happy to find Dr. Shah. He actually takes your nose and face in to consideration. His policy is that he would rather be conservative, then give you a nose that doesn't look good on you or would cause you to have problems breathing. So I went in for my initial surgery. I really couldn't believe how little pain, swelling, and bruising I had. I was ready to go out in public after only a week and basically only took Tylenol. I never needed anything stronger. You then have frequent check ups with him where he takes pictures and monitors your healing. He has you wait a full year until your nose is fully healed, then he will do some slight revisions to if you would like for just a small fee that covers the supply costs. He never charges you again for his services. He just wants you to be happy, but within reason. This is what I like the most about him. He really always has your best interest in mind. Also, he give you his personal cell phone and calls you himself after surgery to make sure you are doing ok. His staff is all really nice. Jennifer, the receptionist, is awesome. She knows who you are when you walk in and remembers where you work, recent events, etc. and asks about them."

"26 Years Old, Closed Rhinoplasty July 18th - Englewood, CO - Dr. Shah was very friendly and helpful in the preparation for the surgery and was good at making me feel at ease beforehand, which I really appreciated, as someone that was nervous about having this procedure done in the first place.I am relatively happy with my nose and what he did - though it is VERY subtle and even those close to me cannot tell that anything changed (including my mother and boyfriend!). So the thousands of dollars change is very slight. The "German bump" on my nose is not noticeable from the profile anymore, which I am thrilled about! There are still bumps on either side of my nose however, which was not in the simulations or at all what I wanted. Dr. Shah said this was a "lighting" issue but I can feel the bumps, so I'm not convinced that's the case. But - he did a relatively good job, nonetheless. His work on the tip of my nose looks good as well, just extremely subtle as well. He would probably be perfect for someone that only wants a minor change and would not require or desire any follow up care. I unfortunately will probably be seeking a revision to get what I wanted in the first place. Please see my latest update on how he and his office handled an injury to my nose 6 months after surgery. This is why I decided to change my review and why his office will not receive positive ratings from me at this time. "For as long as I can remember, I was teased about my large nose. It didn’t fit with the rest of my face and protruded quite far. I wanted a rhinoplasty ever since I was in middle school. My nose was not feminine at all and seemed to be the butt of most jokes amongst my peers. I just wanted to look pretty, feel pretty, and have the teasing and comments stopped for good.
I had a rhinoplasty in August of 2008 by another plastic surgeon in Denver. I was so excited and emotionally ready to finally have the procedure done, I had been dreaming of this day for almost 15 years. After my surgery my nose was straight but very swollen. I was thrilled at how straight it was since I had the classic “italian bump” in my nose. I was growing concerned over the swelling and how it was taking so long to go away, I was reassured by my surgeon that it was normal and would go away eventually. Over the next few months, the tip of my nose become very bulbous looking and it was starting to droop. I noticed it in a picture of myself that was taken on a night out and I was devastated. This wasn’t what I wanted or hoped for. My family and close friends were even commenting on the way it was starting to look.I was still told by my surgeon that it was normal and to be patient before he told me I may need another surgery to correct it. This was not the news I wanted to hear, but it also wasn’t the result I had wanted either.
18 months after my original surgery, I consulted with Dr. Shah about a secondary rhinoplasty. Dr. Shah came highly recommended to me as someone who specializes in “secondary rhinoplasty procedures”. I knew if I was going to have to go through this again, I was going to go to a surgeon who has a great reputation for doing not only rhinoplasty’s but secondary procedures as well. I had even considered seeing a surgeon in Los Angeles before seeing Dr. Shah.
Dr. Shah took one look at me and knew exactly what had gone wrong in the first surgery and how to correct with a simple second surgery. I knew right then, I had to have Dr. Shah correct my nose once and for all. I became excited again and I knew that I was in the right hands. Dr. Shah showed me my pictures on a computer program and together, we talked about my goals and his plan for my final results. He made sure he knew what I was requesting for him to do. I was put at ease because he knew exactly what I wanted, and he was going to be able to do it. I am not very good at being patient so I scheduled my surgery to be done in two weeks. My surgery was a breeze. Everyone at the surgical center was so sweet and made it a very comfortable experience.
The hardest part of the recovery is waiting for the splint to come off. Once it did, I was stunned. So stunned that I didn’t say anything, I was speechless. Dr. Shah did it! He did exactly what I wanted. I finally look the way I pictured myself looking and I finally like the way I look! I had my surgery 8 months ago and the swelling continues to go down, just like Dr. Shah told me it would. I saw a picture taken of myself from a friends birthday party and for the first time in my life, I didn’t immediately look to see how my awful my nose looked. I absolutely loved what I saw and I know that other people see me the way I always wanted them to.
Words can not express how grateful I am to Dr. Shah. I do not even want to think about how much worse I would have looked and felt, had Dr. Shah not corrected my first surgery. My self esteem is the best that its ever been thanks to him. Dr. Shah gave me a nose that compliments the rest of my facial features with out looking like I had anything “done”. A thousand “Thank you’s” don’t seem to be enough for what he did for me; a surgery that he performs almost everyday changed my life.
