Denver man wants an ethnically appropriate nose.*

This 18 yo Denver man wanted a nose that was better matched to the rest of his face. He felt like people could only see his nasal tip and that the rest of his nose disappeared on his face. He is ethnically Thai, so he sought out Asian Rhinoplasty specialist Dr. Manish Shah to perform an open rhinoplasty procedure. Dr. Shah performed DCF graft (diced cartilage fascia) augmentation of his nasal bridge, along with tip surgery and conservative narrowing of his alar base. Dr. Shah harvested the temporalis fascia from the patient's right scalp, and used fresh frozen cadaver rib cartilage for the augmentation. Dr. Shah used a proprietary method for creating the diced cartilage not used elsewhere in the world to create high quality diced cartilage. The patient did not want an unnatural appearing nose. He loves the nose that he received. His self-confidence has improved tremendously. In these pictures, he is one year post-surgery.
